Rohit, who is ranked at number two in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen, holds the record for the highest individual score in the 50-over format. He smashed a blistering 264 runs off 173 balls against Sri Lanka in 2014 at the Eden Gardens. His mind-boggling knock was studded with 9 sixes and 33 fours.
In the 2019 World Cup (50 overs), Rohit signed off the mega tournament as the highest run-scorer. He scored 648 runs in just 9 matches at an average of 81.00.
During the tournament, he also became the first batsman ever to score five centuries in a single edition of the ICC ODI World Cup, breaking the previous record (4) held by Kumar Sangakkara.
