Former women’s singles world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, who recently announced her retirement from professional tennis, shared her experience of getting stuck in Africa in a time when everybody is trying to remain indoors due to the threat of the coronavirus that has taken lives of more than 10,000 people worldwide.
Wozniacki took to social media to announce that she and her husband David Lee were leaving for Denmark safely after getting stuck in the continent and will be in self-quarantine after reaching home.
However, Wozniacki was not received nicely after she posted the picture on Twitter wearing a mask. Fans corrected her saying Africa was not a country but a continent and also accused her of using the limited health resources.
Wozniacki was seen explaining herself after a fan called her ‘selfish’.

The coronavirus has been spreading rapidly worldwide and to prevent the spread of the virus countries are shutting their borders to not allow foreigners inside.
The number of cases in South Africa are climbing swiftly. More than 200 people have been infected in the country and the government has respnded by shutting schools and banning mass gatherings.
